Just because you are busy at work or at home does not mean that you cannot successfully lose weight with juicing!
With a little planning and creativity, you can drink your juice when you need to even if you have a busy schedule.
Making the Juice
If you are really busy, it is recommended that you make all the juice you need for 1 day all at once.
For example, you can juice before dinner, set aside the juice you will drink before dinner, and store the rest in the refrigerator for you to drink the following day.
You can also juice after dinner or in the morning. You should do what works best for your schedule.
Although it is true that some of the nutrients will be lost if you do not drink it immediately, most of them will be retained if you store the juice correctly and drink it within 24 hours.
Storing & Transporting the Juice
Glass jars are the best and recommended way to store your juice.
Pour the juice to the top of the glass jar container so that there is little air left in the container, and secure with an airtight lid. This is to minimize the oxygen in the container, which damages juice.
Store in the refrigerator and drink within 24 hours.
16 to 20 oz containers are recommended since that is how much you will be drinking at a time. If you use a bigger container and only drink half the juice, the remaining juice will be exposed to a lot of air in the container, which accelerates the nutritional decline.
When juice is exposed to oxygen, it starts to oxidize and the nutrients become degraded so it is a good idea to drink all the juice in the container after opening.
If you need to drink the juice outside your home during the day, you can bring the same glass jars you used for storing your juice.
You will need to put the glass jars in a cooler or cooler bag/tote with ice packs to make sure they stay cool.
Again only using 16 to 20 oz jars is recommended. If you use bigger glass jars and only drink half the juice, the remaining juice will be exposed to a lot of air in the container, which accelerates the nutritional decline.
Stainless steel thermos
You can also store the juice in a stainless steel thermos with an airtight lid in a refrigerator. This makes it easy to take juice with you whenever you leave home.
Again, 16 to 20 oz containers are recommended since that is how much you will be drinking at a time.
Stainless steel thermos is a great way to transport your juice outside your home. The good thing about stainless steel thermos is that there is no need for you to keep it cool with ice packs. A good stainless steel thermos will keep your juice cool throughout the day.
It is recommended that you bring a separate thermos for each time you will be drinking juice. For example, if you will be drinking juice before lunch and mid-afternoon, it is recommended that you bring 2 thermoses of juice, and open and finish one each time. That way, the other juice will not be exposed to oxygen until you drink it later.
One way to minimize any metallic fragrance when you drink is to pour the juice into a cup or mug when you drink, instead of drinking straight out of the thermos.
Another nice thing about stainless steel containers is that nobody can see what you are drinking, giving you a little privacy.
