A juicing diet is a diet through which you nourish and replenish your body with powerful nutrients, which helps you get healthier and shed unwanted pounds.
In a juicing diet, you either add fresh juice to your diet, or replace some or all of your meals and snacks with fresh juice. When replacing all your meals/snacks with juice, basically the only thing you consume is fresh juice aside from a few other permitted liquids, and it is also called a juice cleanse or juice fast.

Juices versus Smoothies
Some people confuse juices and smoothies, and think they are the same thing. Although they can both be extremely nutritious, delicious and beneficial for weight loss, they are not the same.
Juices are made by extracting just the juice from the produce. This is done using a juicer, which separates the juice from the pulp and most of the fiber. Types of Juicers
There are 3 main types of juicers; the centrifugal juicer, the masticating juicer and the twin gear juicer.

They usually have a wide feeding chute allowing you to put whole fruits and vegetables in the juicer without cutting them up, unless of course they are large like pineapples and watermelons. Centrifugal juicers are also the least expensive among the three. For these reasons, they are very popular, especially among beginners.
A masticating juicer is a low speed juicer that will allow you to more easily extract juice from leafy vegetables. Since less heat and friction are applied to the produce, you will be able to get even more nutritional value out of the produce when you use a masticating juicer. However masticating juicers are slower than centrifugal juicers and most of them have a smaller feeding chute, requiring you to cut up your produce into smaller pieces. They usually also take more time to clean. Masticating juicers are more expensive than centrifugal juicers but less expensive than twin gear juicers.
A twin gear juicer is the same as a masticating juicer, except that it has two gears within the juicer and squeezes out more juice than the masticating juicer, which only has one gear. It is the most expensive type of juicer out of the three.

1. Which fruits and vegetables should I juice?
There are all kinds of vegetables and fruits you can juice, but the following are some of the easiest vegetables and fruits to start out with if you are just beginning.

Over time, this can lead to weight gain as well as various illnesses. It’s ok to enjoy 100% fruit juices once in a while, but please do not make it a habit.
5. How do I prepare each vegetable/fruit?
As a general rule, make sure to wash the produce well if it is not organic to remove as much of the pesticides on the surface as possible.
With most juicers, you can juice the peels of citrus fruits such as those of oranges, grapefruits, lemons and limes. However you may want to remove them as they have a bitter taste. The white pith, although also bitter, can be juiced and is typically very nutritious.
You can juice small seeds such as those found in grapefruits and watermelons. As a matter of fact, grapefruit seeds are extremely nutritious. However do not juice large pits such as those found in cherries and peaches.
Make sure to remove the seeds of apples as they contain cyanide, a toxic compound.
6. What’s green juice?
Green juices contain leafy greens that make the color of the juice green. Since leafy greens such as kale and spinach are highly nutritious, it is recommended that you start juicing them as soon as you are ready. Start slow since they have an intense taste. If you are new to juicing, you may feel a bit nauseous afterwards. Try adding lemon and drink lots of water afterwards.

9. Can I drink the same juice every day?

Juicing Diet Tips
