The Good and Bad about the 7 Day Diet Plan

If you are the type of person who eats quite a bit of grains such as bread and pasta as well as sugary sweets such as cookies and cakes, this diet will most likely make you lose weight fast. Despite its strange menus, apparently some people claim it works.

One of the negative aspects of this diet is that, since this diet is intended for short-term weight loss, it is not a nutritionally balanced eating plan. Fortunately, it will not cause any permanent side effects. Taking a multi-vitamin every day is recommended while on this diet or any other extreme diet.

Since there are many foods that you are not allowed to consume while on this diet, you will have to get creative to make your meals tasty, in order to stick to the diet for the entire 7 days. It does not look like you can use oil, so you may need to make soups, steam your veggies, use the oven, use the grill, and/or use a non-sticky frying pan.

Tip: Eat vegetable and fruit in every meal, having fruit as dessert

THURSDAY – You must drink five glasses of skim milk and eat five bananas today

Tip: Drink the skim milk as you eat the banana as that would give you more of a feeling of satisfaction. Some versions say 8 bananas, so if you are really hungry, another banana or two probably would not hurt.

FRIDAY – You can eat four pieces of 3-ounce steaks of meat (fish, beef, chicken, turkey) with unlimited vegetables (some versions say green vegetables). For example, 4 pieces of 3-ounce beef steaks.

Tip: Add salt and pepper first (I am assuming that is ok), then grill the meat on your barbecue grill, broil it in the oven, or stir fry on high heat to make it tasty. If you are feeling hungry, add starchy vegetables such as sweet potatoes as a side dish. Asparagus and broccoli may also taste very good with meat.

SATURDAY – You can eat four pieces of 3-ounce steaks of meat (fish, beef, chicken, turkey) with unlimited vegetables (some versions say green vegetables). For example, 4 pieces of 3-ounce beef steaks.

7 Day Diet Plan Tips

This diet can apparently help you lose up to 11 pounds after 1 week. Sticking to this diet can become a little difficult because you are very limited as to what you can and cannot eat. You can try to eat vegetables that taste good without any seasoning such as butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and mushrooms. Garlic, lemon, lime, stir fried onions, home-made natural tomato paste, and natural herbs such as cilantro, basil, and parsley can also add flavor to your dishes.

Finding a few vegan recipes could also give you a couple of new and interesting ways of making meals with fruit and vegetables, especially for the days when that is all you are allowed to eat.
